Back To The Future 2; My Remake

Back To The Future 1980s Retro Cafe Scene

PICTURES (1980 compared to 2015 remake)
I would make sure my scene is filmed in HD and also suitable for IMAX viewing and watching it this way has become more popular over the years.

1980 Cafe

2015 Diner
To remake the retro diner scene in Back To The Future 2 will be set in 2015 and which means it will be more dated and modern. The outside of the diner would be much for colourful so it will stand out and attract people.

1980 Jukebox

2015 Jukebox
The jukebox I would use would be touch screen and on the wall where albums would be stored with the latest artists on there like;

This shows the top 10 hits from this week on Vodaphone big top 40. There are tracks from Jess Glynn, Lethal Bizzle and Wiz Khalifa.

Inside Diner 1980

Inside Diner 2015
The decor of the 2015 diner will be brighter and more complex compared to how basic it was in 1980 Back to The Future.

Food and Drink 1980 Diner
As Back To The Future 2 was full of creations having unusual/colourful packaging would be something I imagined would be sold in the retro cafe.

Food and Drink 2015 Diner
Food in 2015 Diner would be food eaten by most people there would be different options not just chicken.

I researched slang terms used in 2015 and this was the list I got.

Remakes

Texas Chainsaw 1974 Trailer

Based on a true story. Narrated a lot more then the 2013 version, slightly pixelated with not great video quality. 1974 texas film was banned at first because of the extreme levels of violence shown. Builds the horror movie to end them all. Film sensors literally 'saw red' and refused to give it a certificate.

Texas Chainsaw 2013 Trailer

This quality of Texas Chainsaw is much better. Also uses well known people to be in this film which will make people want to watch it more. 2013 had no problems with it being shown. Horror had moved on with films like saw and hostel being released. This trailer references the original with the focus on the same chainsaw prop but the music is more contemporary and editing is quicker emphasised with digital sound effects although the colour is dark, characters and settings remain quite similar.

The Parent Trap 1961 Trailer

The original Parent trap showed families/ parenting in the 1960's. Where social class was key/ important and there were no technology. Costumes, mis-en-scene and music clearly represent the era. Theme and narrative remain unchanged and focuses on the fascination the audience gains from identical twins and the comedy that comes with their actions.

The Parent Trap 1998 Trailer

You can see the difference of the parenting here. There is better colour and also the fashion/dress sense. In 1960 with social class was important the same is true in the 1998 version. Both kids want their parents to get back together and the class divide between both parents are the same in both films.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 1984 Trailer

Portraying children in 1984. You can see the difference with how people dressed and the way the act in America 1984. Master of horror Wes Craven created the character 'Freddy Krueger' same Bram Stoker created 'Dracular'. Nightmare on elm street like the remake focuses the horror on the teenagers.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 2010 Trailer

You can see the difference of how camera quality has changed since 1984 also how children have changed with the way they dress etc. Interestingly settings in the remake include retro themes such as a diner and although we have technology now teenagers use computers to message one another. Not much has been added to the horror of the original.

Overall all the remakes have better quality videos because technology has become more advanced.
